From research I found that more and more people are watching videos online now (55% or more). So if you have a good video with lots of relevant content and a message to put accross, you are more likely to gain customers. Having said that, let's see why and how video marketing can be really good for drawing traffic to your site and more.
First and foremost, in order to draw traffic to any site, you need good solid content and there is no shortcut to it. You need to sit down and produce or write something that will either teach or give value to the person reading or watching in our case. I'm not gonna go into any details on how to produce that sort of material here ( maybe in another post) but rather I'm going to concentrate on how you could generate traffic provided that you have a video.
So assuming you have that perfect video with a great message. Your first job will be to upload it to Youtube (by far the most popular video site). Then, you will need to let people know that your video exist. If you let it sit there without promoting it then you will not get as much hit.
- So you then start bookmarking it to social sites like facebook, my space, twitter etc.
- Another way of letting people know that your video exist is to join forums or even blogs related to your niche. Try to leave comments ( say something useful) and leave you signature i.e your url link of your video.
- set up a feed using feedburner.
- Why restrict to just Youtube, upload your video to other video sites like metacafe, vimeo etc.
